Blog 2

Humans are interesting creatures. We are the outcome and results of the game “the survival of the fittest.” Although, we did in fact make that game ourselves, or better yet, simply gave it a name. We can practically be any adjective in the world since everyone is different one way or another, or everyone is the same one way or another. I suppose depending on how you look at it, you could agree one way or the other or even neither. We are in a way the creators of this world, and the divine sovereigns that rule it. There is apparently no other creature that is superior to us. We are intelligent, apparently more intelligent than any other living creature. We are overly complex beings and yet simple. We are each different and yet have the same base. There are still many questions left unanswered regarding us which could possibly be never answered. If we cannot answer our own questions than I wonder who can.
We have gifts unlike any other creature, and there are so many us in the world. Even though we may not be able to understand each other by language, we are still able to communicate through other means. We developed society as the way it is now and we all adapt to it. We have emotions and we developed religion. The list of our abilities can go on and on, so I suppose that we are indeed special. I am guessing the world was created just for us. Each person lives only once, but what if there is a parallel world. Even if there was one I suppose we would not know about it anyway, so who’s to say there isn’t one. Now all the bizarre ideas come to mind, would there ever be a time machine. If one does get created, I am guessing that would be a distortion in the whole balance of the universe idea. I guess things like those are not meant to exist, I think the world would erupt in chaos if they did. We are amazing creatures, but I am guessing there should be limitations to some things.
I can’t help but wonder what the future would be like. There is an end to everything which includes us and the world no? It could be ironic in which we created the world, and we could destroy it. The way things seem to be going for the world right now is not the best. We probably cause more problems than solutions, judging by the way global warming, world hunger, and all the other major world problems are in effect. If there is an end to everything then these problems would disappear as well. Then again, I wonder if there is such a thing as forever.

  1. Really cool way of looking at humans ourselves at many different angles. Got me thinking a lot about life and the future with the questions you posed!

  2. You should totally write stuff for The Twilight Zone, I am sure you could come up with some good ideas. We may never know how we work, or what makes us function. But humans are indeed unique creatures.

  3. I agree with Will and Tim, your questions made me think so much about the way things are in our world, and how things might become.
